Your raised SGPT level may due to alcoholic fatty liver disease(AFLD).It has a good prognosis and SGPT level often normalise after 3 month of abstinence. If taking alcohol is continued it virtually leads to fatal alcoholic hepatitis and alcoholic cirrhosis.
