How To Deal With High BP?

Earlier today, my bp was 173/123; before leaving the physician s office it was 152/102. I ate and took my bp meds. It has been 141/85; 131/85; and 147/85 since arriving home. I am planning to go to sleep but gave some apprehension. What can I do to calm myself? I did some meditation.

Hi welcome to HCM.
High blood pressure in your case has to be promptly treated with antihypertensives preferably with monotherapy.Dietary salt restriction will help to reduce the blood pressure.Restrict the intake to Less than 6 gm/day.Have a baseline ecg and 2 dimensional echo to rule out organic heart disease.Maintain blood pressure around 130/80 mm of Hg.Consult your cardiologist for further help.
Thank you.
