How To Deal With Anger And Behavioral Changes?

Hello,I hope this letter finds you Well.I was wondering if you could help me. For a while I a have been not like myself. I started having unexpected anger episodes, especially if I am disturbed when I wish to be left alone. Everybody (people) stated to irritate me. I became very sensitive and moody. Lost a lot of interest in doing something and if I find something that I would like to do and share with my husband, usually I dont receive a support, so another disappointment adding to the list. I am starting to avoid my husband, doesn t want to talk with him as every time I will be left with disappointment and let down feeling. Sometimes I just want to disappear, or take a book, relax and be left alone. I just so emotionally tired...

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You have not mentioned anything about any past illness. Anger or behavioral changes are indications of stress, medical or mental problems.

Untreated chronic illness, anxiety, depression, neglect, abuse (physical & mental) causes personality changes & triggers behavioral disorders.

Avoid people with whom you are not comfortable with, stay away from anything that gives you stress. In my opinion, get a thorough medical check up done & get treated for any pathology detected.

Consult a Counselor/Psychiatrist to rule out any developing depression, anxiety or bipolar disorder as you will need medications to cope with the problem you have.

You can visit the Counselor with your partner & sort out the problem.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
