How To Cure Swelling Of Right Leg And Lump On The Knee?
my husband has a very pain swelling in his entire right leg. A large 6X6 lump just above the knee on under-neath of the thigh it is quite red . He does have very bad knees but this is unlike anything before. They drained 2 fluid from knee and ultrasound shows some fluid in the lump. There is some indication of infection in the blood scan. Dr s are puzzled.

Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that your husband may be having effusion right knee .Blood reports shows some infection.Does he also has fever? He may need arthrotomy (incision and drainage of fluid in joint), culture and sensitivity of fluid for bacterial culture. Then he will need antibiotic treatment according to culture and sensitivity of pus. Analgesic such as diclofenac can be given for pain.You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it.
