How To Cure Swelling And Pain At The Roof Of Mouth Due To A Cut?

I cut the roof of my mouth 2 days ago eating something crunchy and it was swollen and very painful yesterday and today. I was pushing on it today and something came out of the cut and it bled a bit. Is this something I need to see a doctor for or will it heal on it s own?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
The cut on the roof of mouth will be painful initially.
Due to the location of the cut inside the mouth, it is not possible to apply dressing on the cut.
For symptomatic relief, you can use a topical anaesthetic agent to relieve the pain associated with the cut and to relieve the pain while eating anything spicy and hot.
Healing the area is fast due to good blood supply, however, it will be painful for initial 3-5 days.
In case, it bleeds, you can apply firm pressure on the cut with a cotton.

Thanks and take care
