Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic

I would keep a possibility of Icthyosis Vulgaris, which commonly presents as grey white flaky scaling over the extremities and adherent dark scales on the sides of the abdomen and trunk.

The condition is autosomal dominant and is usually more severe in winters.

I would suggest that you apply a moisturizer as frequently as possible, specially the one which contains either Urea or Ammonium lactate or Glycolic acid. These agents are exfoliative in nature as well as hygroscopic and therefore entrap atmosphere moisture into the skin.
