Good morning Docter, Because of chewing tobacco i cannot open my mouth more than three fingers, and now i m havin problem in eating food because my mouth isn t opening properly. please guide me through the right path and give me proper suggestions thank you

I had gone through your query.

It is oral sub mucosal fibrosis due to tobacco chewing and in most of the cases it is irreversible.

You have to quit tobacco 1st the only treatment can be possible.

Streiod injection,laser therapy or oral surgery can be useful.

Treatment is depend upon degree of fibrosis and mouth opening.

Consult oral surgeon or ENt surgeon for further assistance.

Early treatment with total cut down of tobacco will bring better recovery.
