How To Control Severe Hunger Pangs, Eventually Leading To Obesity And Is This A Hereditary Disease?

My father and my son both have a issue with food. The thing I notice with both are that they are always hungry no matter what they eat or the amount. When little, my son would cry that he was hungry and be up at night vomiting from over-eating. All my life, my step mother would fight with my father and I remember him saying the same thing - that he was still hungry and couldn't help it. My son is working out daily, on a gluten free, dairy free, sugar free diet and eating healthy but is still stuggling alot. There has to be something hereditary that is causing this. My father's family were all very overweight people. Do you know what could be the culprit? Something they can be tested for? Something they can do to put a real end to the hunger and shut off the intense cravings so they can get healthy without struggling every single day? My son literally busts his behind to find this struggles, lives in the accountablity crib with Diamond Dallas Page and works every day with the DDPYoga program and wrestles professionally (all can be seen on Youtube under DDPYoga, Accountability Crib and Dylan Frymyer......documentary and weight lose updates) Dylan was up to 360. This past year he got to 280 and now he is gaining again.....he just can not control his body wanting food as if there is no "shut off". Can you please help?
