How To Control Hypertension And High Pulse Rate?

i m Nirmal , 40 years old , having hypertension from last 8 yrs .I m also having high pulse rate , if i get tension aroung 120 , but normally it is almost 95 . i had undergone ECG , doctor foung it normal n prescribed me tolol xr 25 mg / day . Sometime i have dizzines n normal presure now is 125-130 to 135-145. Plz advice

Thanks for contacting HCM. Dear patient your doctor has prescribed you correct medicine. You have not mentioned when was tolol prescribed to you as it takes almost a week for full effect to manifest. Values of blood pressure you have mentioned doesn't explain whether they are diastolic or systolic, if they are systolic then they are within normal limits. Also probably you are using a digital BP instrument which are notorious for unreliable readings. Please get your Bp checked by your doctor with a mercury sphygmomanometer and get treated accordingly.
