How To Control High Blood Sugar Level Of Around 380?

Boyfriend's blood sugar is 380 and has been high for past 24 hours. He has taken insulin as prescribed and ate a dinner of steak, kale and apples. He is very tired. Can he do anything to improve his situation tonight until he calls the doctor tomorrow?

Diabetologist 's  Response
Hi i had gone through your query and understood your concerns.

For now, what he is doing is correct. Just with out much worry, let him follow the same dose of medication . Nothing is to happen in just one day.
Allow him to take rest. Tomorrow when he meets the treating doctor discuss the dosages of insulin and further proceedings. Give him support.

Hope this guides you. Thank you.
