Hi Balakrishnan,

The target BP for adults is

To bring to that level you have the following options.
1. Regualr Exercise - Can reduced BP by 5 - 8 points
2. Low Salt in diet
3. Avoid Smoking/Alcohol
4. Meditation
5. Reduce Weight

If still BP is elevated medications will be required.
There is no single cure

Hope this answers your query

Thanks and Regards

welcome to hcm
hypertension cannot be treated but only controlled..if the cause is unknown u ll have to take medications lifelong..if the high BP is because of the renal or adrenal cause then it can be treated completely..do u have any family history of high BP?. do not worry..just make it a habit of taking medications regularly..if there is known cause then your prob will be over.. consult your doc..
