How To Confirm Sinusitis?

Hi, My 67 yr old mother was recently treated for narrow angle glaucoma. At about the same time, she started to feel her head heat up. Since her surgery a few months ago, she continued to feel her head heating up. She had an MRI and nothing was detected. However, she recently noticed that taking sinus medication improved the problem. Could it be sinusitis? What could cause a person to feel a heating sensation in the head?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The sensation of increased heat can be related to infection, inflammation or may be related to the nerves in the area.

If she is noticing a response with the use of medication indicated for sinuses, then it is possible that the warmth is related to inflammation of the sinuses.

I hope this helps
