How To Confirm If Abortion Is Successful?

Hi Dr. I wanted to terminate my pregnancy(abortion) and we used self medication,because we are in a country where abortion is a crime,6-7 after inserting 4 misoprotol,I experienced normal bleeding and when I went to the wash room to pee,3dark things,like liver came out.Doctor please is this a symbol of unsuccessful abortion.?????

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Abortion by using pills is indicated in pregnancies below 12 weeks.
Now that you have taken the pills and got the bleeding with some amount of tissue discharge, the contents inside the uterus must have been expelled out.
You may continue to have such spotting or discharge for about 2 to 3 weeks.
You can check weather all the products of conception has been expelled or not by getting an ultrasound scan of pelvis done.
If your abortion is complete, you should get your next regular periods in 4 to 6 weeks time.
Kindly seek medical attention if there is any thing that remains doubtful.
