General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello, I hope you are very well. Nutritional management in a patient with hepatic cirrhosis is essential for their control.

The diet should consist of a caloric intake of 30-35 kcal/kg/day with a protein intake of 1.2-1.6 g/prot/day, with proteins of high biological value being recommended.

These requirements are necessary to maintain an adequate body condition and also prevent or precipitate episodes of hepatic decompensation of hepatic encephalopathy type. I suggest that you go with a nutritionist to provide you with an adequate diet plan according to the area where you live and to consider nutritional supplements.
