How To Avoid Infections Caused From A Rusty Nail Wound?
i stepped on a rusty screw, it went into my foot about 1/8 to 3/16 of an inch.I cleaned the wound well and i am planning to see my doctor ASAP I can call for an appointment at 7 am.This happened last night at 10 pm. it is now 3.:30 am.What would you recommend ?

As you want symptomatic relief till you consult the doctor my advice is-
1. Use topical antibiotic cream like framycetin or fusidic acid cream
2. If it is oozing or bleeding have a dressing with povidone-iodine and surgical gauze.
3. Take a NSAID like ibuprofen for pain if present.
