How To Ascertain Whether I Have Hepatitis Or Not?

I m a HBV carrier for many years, and recently my HBV DNA PCR test became undetectable, after 6 months I did the test again and still undetectable, and the HbsAb was negative. Since there was no HbsAg test, I doubt if I m healed or not. My family doctor said the DNA test is more accurate than the HbsAg test, and I can take the vaccine now. I just want to double check here, because for years I use the HbsAg to determine my HBV status. Thank you very much!

Hi thanks for asking question.
ELISA and PCR are two standard method for HBSag detection.
In PCR ,test is negative.PCR is molecular diagnostic method so more sensitive and specific then ELISA.
So need for worry.
But if you still want to double check then ELISA examination done for its detection with rapid card test also.
Still consider nucleac acid testing NAT means PCR based method is gold standard and superior as compared to ELISA according to various study.
Wish you good health.
