How To Alleviate Persistent Blood And Mucus Drainage From The Nose?
Hello doctor how are you I hope you are well. Just a quick one I’ve had to surgery’s last year to reattach my septium and rinoendscopy has series chronic sinusitis for full year there’s blood and poision coming out my nose all the time due to me being a heavy cocaine user. Is there any help out there for me? Thanks Ray
You have to stop snorting cocaine immediately as it is causing injury to your nasal septum which in turn is leading to bleeding. You have mentioned that you had surgery to repair your nasal septum and were also suffering from chronic sinusitis. Snorting cocaine has it seems caused injury to your nasal septum again. The extent of damage can only be assessed on local examination by an ENT specialist. Meanwhile, you can take tablet Tranxemic acid to stop the bleeding and also use nasal packs to control the bleeding.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Nazma.amman
