How Should Wrist, Fingers And Thumb Pain With Tendonitis Be Treated?

I had surgery on my wrist onAugust 10 for torn cartlidge and tendon reconstruction. I am going to physical therapy 3 days a week. Before I started therapy I have a pain in my wrist on the thumb side of my hand(surgery was other side). I can't move my thumb now my wrist and have a constant pain in my fingers. I was stold I had tendonitis in that area, I had a cortizone shot and that has made it worse. My next appt with the Dr is not until the 27th of October. Is there anything I can do.
