How Should Wrist Bone Dislocation With Pain Be Treated?
Hello Dr I haven an ligament tear on my wrist , as this was four months before It was mild and I continued gym with heavy weight liftings and now it is paining only if I twist my wrist, xray reports shows at present that bone is dislocated bt dr has just adviced to give rest for six weeks with wrist brace, and give time to heal .... so what do u ADVISE I an also worried abt dislocation Regards kiran parmar
Hello kiran, I have studied your case and i would first advise you to get a MRI of the wrist. This MRI will confirm if there is ligament damage or it is only a bony problem. If there is ligament damage than I would recommend you to show it to a sports medicine expert in your city. A ligament damage might need a reconstructive procedure like Arthroscopy. if it is only bony problem than keeping this splint is sufficient and It will take care of the bony issue. If even after 6 weeks you are feeling uneasyness and painful movements than it is better to plan a surgery to fix that dislocation. I hope this answer will be useful for you.Let me know if there is any other follow up questions.
