Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello thanks for asking from HCM

He has been diagnosed with depression since last 10 years and now has shown relapse of symptoms like lack of interest in business, poor social interaction or not talking to anyone, increased sleepiness, not going to work etc. These symptoms denote that he has probably relapse of depression. Depression is a mood disorder and it tend to occur in episodes. As per my opinion you should take him to a psychiatrist for reevaluation and for proper treatment.

Commonly medicines like Fluoxetine, Paroxetine, Sertraline etc are used in depression and they have good efficacy in controlling the symptoms. Apart from medicine psychological treatment like cognitive behaviour therapy also have excellent roles in depression. Consult a psychiatrist for prescription of drugs.

Thanks, hope this helps you. Take Care
