How Should Percocet Be Taken?
Hi, Percocet (Oxycodone 5 mg and Acetaminophen 325 mg) is commonly prescribed for the relief of moderate to severe pain. The usual adult dosage is 2 tablets every 6 hours as needed for pain. The total daily dose of Acetaminophen should not exceed 4 grams. Its serious side effects include respiratory depression, apnea, respiratory arrest, circulatory depression, hypotension, and shock. Itching is not a serious side effect of Percocet. Taking half doses may not be effective in relieving the severe pain following food surgery. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali
