How Should Oxycodone And Acetaminophen Be Taken?

Doc - I ve been diagnosed with renal cancer and it has spread to my lungs. My oncologist is using Votrient as a treatment. A couple to the side effects are stomach pain (like a cramp) and insomnia. My sleep pattern has been reversed. As a pain reliever and sleep air my oncologist prescribed Oxycodone and Acetaminophen (Percocet) 5mg/325mg. I was reading on-line that the pill should be taken whole, and not divided. I read this information after I cut the pill in half and took it. The article said taken the pill other than whole releases the Oxycodone faster and could result in death. Any advice?????

Hello,

You can take it as a whole or in pieces.

However, it is always better to take while tablet for best results.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
