How Should I Treat A Scrape At The Anus That Causes Burning Sensation And Foul Discharge?
Hi, scrape between the crack of my anus, it s burning and a foul discharge was there. I cleaned it with Dettol water and then betadine solution and applied soframycin and covered the scrap with cotton. Was this the right approach or anything else is required?
You are suggested to get it clinically examined by a GP / urologist. Your symptoms are indicative that there is infection. Keep the affected area clean. You can apply ointment Xylocaine / Lidocaine on the affected area to avoid pain. Applying ointment Reactiv on the affected area will relax the area and help in healing of the affected area by increasing the blood supply.
Taking sitz bath and warm compress is helpful. Take fiber rich diet, take laxatives and semi solid or liquid food to avoid constipation and worsening of the symptoms. You can take acetaminophen in case you are having pain. Your symptoms should reduce, if not, the treating GP may recommend. surgery.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
