General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

* As per my surgical experience, the ciprofloxacin ophthalmic solution comes in composition of 0.3 % w/v .
* Guidelines for use of the same in an adult

- Rinse the eyes with distilled water thoroughly for 5 minutes before use of the solution.
- Pour 2 drops of solution in the concerned eye retracting the upper eyelid gently.
- Keep the eye lids closed for further 5 minutes after solution application.
- Keeping an ice pack over the eye aids in the recovery.
- The frequency is usually determined by the clinical intensity, but usually every 4-6 hourly same procedure is recommended.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
