How Serious Is Heart Attack And Being On Drug Induced Coma?

My brother had a heArt attack out of state last night. The nurse said his heart is functioning at 20 percentage. He is breathing on his own but supposedly in a drug induced coma. The nurse said his heart shows no sign of damage. What? That just doesn't sound right to me. Could he be on life support until family get to hospital?

Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about what your brother suffered last night. I understand how distressing this can be to you. The hospital would have no reasons to offer false assurance to you. This is ethically wrong and i would not want to think they would do any such thing.

I may disagree with the fact that there is no problem with the heart. Damage may be minimal but not completely absent.

I hope this addresses your query fully. Thank you so much for patronizing our services and please do feel free to ask for follow up clarifications and information if need be. I wish you the best of health.
