How Serious Is Acute Renal Failure Along With Fever, Pneumonia And Hypokalemia?

My husband, after 11 days in the hospital was discharged with the following discharge diagnosis: abnormal EKG, acute renal failure, elevated troponin I level, fever, hypokalemia, pneumonia, rhabdomyolysis, SOB, and Addison s Disease. He has been home for the 4th day and seems to be getting weaker and some of the same symptoms he had upon admission. How sick is my husband and will some of the diagnosis go away?

Hello,

Is he diabetic? It depends upon how serious is the renal problem , how much lung involved in pneumonia or how low is serum Pottacium and what is the reason for rabdomyoma etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Right now he is having many risk factors , need to be risk on higher side. Combined approach with nephrologist/ urologist/ physician may treat the case. Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
