How Safe Is Taking Zedott With Tilpride For Diarrhea?
I was diagnosed with H-pylori infection after endoscopy and colonoscopy . Was administered full dose course for the same, about two oaths back. Now at present have acute dihorrea due to some food infection. Should I take zedott along withtilpride tid. I have already started taking electrolyte sachets with water for safeguarding dehydration. Pl advise
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history H. pylori infection on upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy, took full course for the same about 2 months back. Now developed acute diarrhea due to food infection, wants to know whether to take Zedott and Tilpride; already taking electrolyte sachets and water to safeguard against dehydration. Since there is food poisoning, there is a problem of toxin being released and if one suppresses the bowel movements it can cause toxemia and bacterimia. Hence avoid Zedott and use Tilpride only if there is nausea and vomiting I would advise you the following in such a situation: Consult your Doctor to see for the vitals and send the stool and blood for tests. A course of an antibiotic and metronidazole should be taken to avoid any complications of food poisoning. Continue taking electrolyte solution as advised on the sachets for dilution.
