How Must Coccyx Fracture Be Treated?

Hi Doc,
I am vijay of 34 years from chennai, southern india.
I am suffereing from coccyx bone fracture towards right side from 2008 onwards.
Now for past five months I am getting very severe pain while sitting. I even find a swell in my right side bum

this is dr.syed minhaj ahmed from bangalore.
coccyx # is something that is always for conservative management. U has # in 2008.But u have severe pain while sitting only from past 5 months.

I feel that your pain is due to COCCYDYNIA rather than fracture.
Do not worry.Sit on CUSHION. Also can use tyre to sit which is hollow in the centre and hence the painful part does not come in contact with the floor or the ground. treatment time -- upto 6 weeks.
