How Much Time Will It Take To Heal Scrotums Which Got Hurt While Cleaning With Dettol And Now Skin Is Peeling And Causing Severe Pain ?

Hi, I cleaned my scrotums with quite a lot of dettol , around 3 days back. It did hurt and irritated. Now skin is peeling off which is causing severe pain . Please advice that could it be because of dettol only and how much time it might take to heal. I am kinda embarrassed and not willing to consult a physician now. :(

Hi

Thanks for posting your query

There are all chances you have had a fungal infections earlier and when you used concentrated dettol it would have caused chemical burns

The best approach will be to use simple luke warm water and clean it daily and apply antifungal ointment for 2-3 weeks

Use cotton undergarments and if there is lot of itching use cetrizine tablet
