Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My baby is 4.5 month and weighs 7500grams.He is exclusively breastfeeding. But I will be out of station for 2 days.should I feed my baby Nestle nan or Lactogen and how much per feeding.kindly mention the proportion of powder and water.how many feedings should I give per day?
Hi, Thank you for asking question on health care magic. The baby needs 150 ml of milk/kg body weight for 24 hours. Approximately your baby needs 1100 ml of milk per day. one level measure of milk powder in 30 ml of water gives 30 ml of milk. About 150- 180 ml /feed, 6-7 feeds/day will be sufficient. Hope this answer will serve your purpose Please feel free to ask any more queries if required Take care Dr.M.V.Subrahmanyam MD;DCH Associate professor of pediatrics
