I am currently taking the Vitamin shoppe B-complex 125. It has 125 mg of inositol. It also has 125 mg of niacin. Today I purchased a bottle of inositol 500 mg to add to my vitamin regimen to help with anxiety. General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Niacin is Vitamin B3, which is one of the water soluble Vitamin. Niacin has an ability to reduce anxiety and depression. To start with it may be taken with 25 mg thrice day and increased to 75 mg thrice a day with addition of 25 mg each day over next 3 days. It may be continued with 50 mg or 75 mg, depending. the response.
Inositol is also a water soluble Vitamin like substance, which offers same benefits as niacin, but to a lesser degree.
Hence, its combination with niacin would be optimum to bring the desired effects.
Kindly adjust the dose as per the content concentration in your medication and take it accordingly.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
