Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Dear patient
Undisplaced fibula fracture requires rest for duration of 6 weeks and needs to be protected with below knee cast or medical boot as you are prescribed. You should avoid taking weight on it for 4 weeks. It should be worn 24 hours and removal for bike riding is not advisable as slight movement at fracture will lead to displacement and you may require surgery. So do take full rest for 6 weeks and wear boot for that period and do work for the rest of your life.
