Thank you for your query.
I understand how this situation is causing you anxiety.
Progesterone is the hormone that supports pregnancy after conception has occurred.
Supplements are routinely prescribed to support a possible implantation & to also make up for luteal phase defects (if present).
Prescribed for about 2 weeks after ovulation. If pregnant, your
OBGYN may decide to continue it for the whole of the first trimester.
If you have had
intercourse during ovulation & the three days before that, there is a good chance of getting pregnant (if there is no
male factor infertility). A pregnancy test after two weeks can check for pregnancy.
Ovulation pain may occur in some women and is not a reason for infertility.
Polycystic ovarian disease,
Endometriosis can cause infertility and needs to diagnosed & treated early to preserve fertility.
If you have normal regular cycles, try to relax and focus on something see during this two week wait.
Easier said than done, but the stress of it can get to you.
Hope this helps.
