My mom is 80 years old. She had been having high blood pressure since 4 days about 150/97. She takes metropolol 25 mg. twice a day, but last couple of days she took 3 times a day instead to lower her BP. She also took lasik/potassium for three days in a row. Now her blood pressure is 115/70 instead of taking it as needed basis. She was in the ER two days ago, her MRI was normal and BP over there was ranging from 160/75 to 140/97.She is following up with her primary care doctor tomorrow. Her 3rd dose is due now. Should she take that if her BP is OK now. Normally she takes twice, but started taking 3 times 2 days ago.
