How Long Should Medroxyprogesterone Be Used For Irregular Periods?
i was prescribed Medroxypr for 10 days to get my period (since i m irregular), but on the 5th day i got my period. In addition, i was prescribed Clomid to start taking it on the fifth day of my period.... My question is, should i keep taking the Medroxypr for the full 10 days even if i already got my period, or do i stop. Because i dont know if its okay to take both at the same time since they will overlap for a day or 2

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
It seems you had irregular period due to polycystic ovaries. You can stop Medroxyprogesterone and start with tab. Clomid as per your doctor's advice. It is for regulating ovulation, an initial therapy. You need to be in touch with your gynecologist for a complete treatment. The plan may change depending on your response.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
