My husband is a terminal cancer patient (triple hit lymphoma). He has just gone on Hospice Care. One of his medications is and has been Allopurinol, taken once each day, 300 mg. He had renal cell cancer 3 yrs ago in one kidney and has suffered throughout our marriage of 37 years, with chronic kidney stones. His oncologist did not indicate if he should continue taking the medication that was ordered by him. I do not want to discontinue this med if he needs it. BTW, he no longer takes chemo since about 2-3 weeks ago. That chemo was CHOP R but just prior to the CHOP R, he was taking EPOCH R, which almost destroyed him. He is a 75 year old.
