How Long It Take To Cure The Mucus Caused By Smoking?

Hello! I am a singer but I also have smoked for 6 years. When I sing, I sometime will have to clear my throat because of mucous from smoking. When I quit smoking, how long will it take for the mucous to clear so that it will no longer come into my throat while singing?

hi as per your history you have mentioned you have smoked for 6 years, may i know the quanity of cigarettes per day?20 or 20 +,smoking do cause permanent changes in the bronchial vaculature and may lead to copd upon continous smoking but it all depends on no of cigarettes smoken, etc etc,it usually may take an year to year and half to get back to normal and the mucous to reduce, try syrup.mucomix(n acetyl cysteine) that helps clears airway and let you feel relieved, any stop smoking completely as even a single cigarette can be harmfull, any quries feel free to reply back..
