How Long Is Recovery Time After A Fistulotomy?

I had fistulotomy exactly 3 weeks ago . being on vacations I have taken full bed rest. The pain seems to have decreased but not fully, the doctor said it was a 6cm tract. The problem is that I have classes to attend after 10 days and that will include long sittings. My question is how much more will it take to be completely heal, and can long sitting cause complications? I m 21yrs male Plz suggest

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

After 10 days is supposed to be the 30 days (1 month) after fistulotomy. That's enough time to get fully recovered and back to classes again.

You might be feeling a bit pain during long sitting, however if unbearable, take a letter from the surgeon explaining the operation you did and to justify in case of unbearable pain during long sitting.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
