How Long Is Laparoscopic And Robotic Radical Prostatectomy Procedure?

Radical prostatectomy laparoscopic/robotic ,can it be done in Toronto ,Ontario, Canada ? How long is the procedure and recovery time. I have Gleason score of 8-9 which was discovered after have a TURP for trouble emptying my bladder. Scapings scored 8-9 on Gleason scale. Biopsies showed cancer in 1 of 12 witch was scored a 6.

The procedure duration depends upon individual characteristics such as:
- Tumor encasement with capsular invasion and involvement of surrounding structures
- Surgeon's expertise
- Da Vinci settings with consel operating surgeon commands
- Associated co morbid conditions to be tackled during surgery such as high blood pressure, diabetes or other cardiac conditions
- Anesthetic fitness protocols

Usually, it takes around 40-50 minutes with expert hands, though individual case may taken even longer periods of 2-3 hours as well.
