How Long Does The Swallowed Coin Take To Be Out Of The System?
Hi, I swallowed an australian 20 cent coin (28mm in diamater). I swallowed it 4 days ago and I have not passed it yet. I am experiencing slight pains every now and then in my stomach about 5cm above my belly button but the pain isn't too bad. What should I do? Should I expect it to eventually come out the other end and how long approximately? Thanks.

A swallowed coin about 28mm in diameter should not cause any problem & should have been removed out of the body till now. You can eat 2-3 bananas at a time, along with laxatives. They would help it get removed from the body.
In any case, if you develops severe abdominal pain, loses appetite, develops a fever, or begins vomiting, you should rush to the emergency room right away. Hopefully, you will see that coin pass in the next few days.
