How Long Does It Take To Regain Original Skin Tone Post Hydroquinone 4% And A Glycol Acid (both Neostrata) Treatment?

How long before my normal skin color returns? I used a hydroquinone 4% and a glycol acid (both Neostrata) for less than a week. The areas I treated are slightly lighter and after I quit the medicine cold, 6 weeks later, I still have the lighter skin. How long for this to fade and darken back to what my skin was earlier? I'm 43.
