How Long Does It Take To Recover From Labyrinthitis?

How long does labrynthitis last. I had sever vomiting at first. Im on a scopolamine patch &meclizine for 3-4 days but it still continues. It is miserable & the worse sensation I ve experienced. Even over childbirth. Any suggestions? And I did receive a liter of Lactated Ringers. They gave me a 5 mg dose of Valium during the MRI which was negative thank goodness. Never had this before. Of course it has come right at the time of the birth of our first grandchild. Any suggestions would help. Many thanks, Cindy Hart

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The exact course of the infection cannot be predicted, in some persons it lasts only days, in others the course may extend for weeks.

The medications that you are using are some those that are normally prescribed to help with these symptoms so they should bring some relief but if they are not helping your, your doctor can suggest an alternative.

I hope this helps
