How Long Does It Take To Get Rid Of Smoker S Taste After Quit Smoking?
I quit smoking 1.5 days ago. How long until I no longer taste like cigarettes . Even though I wasn t a heavy smoker (a few cigarettes a day), a new love interest of mine that I kept the smoking hidden from told he knew right away that I was a smoker because I tasted like cigarettes, even though I hadn t had one in 12 hours. That right there was probably the nicest thing a man could have ever told me. It gave me exactly what I needed to hear to finally quit for good. How long until my is gone? Now that my sense of taste and smell are starting to return, I can taste what he was talking about. Thanks!
I am glad that you have quit smoking for good. The smell and taste of cigarettes will already have reduced by now and can be expected to be totally gone within a week of quitting. Please also remember the smell of cigarettes clings to clothes, handbags (particularly if used to store cigarettes), and other items of personal use. Please give these a good airing. This has the added benefit of helping you remain abstinent as the smell of cigarettes can induce craving in people who have quit smoking.
Best wishes.
