How Long Does It Take To Detect HIV?

Dear Doc,I am 26 years old.Six month before i went one prostitute house and then i f**** her with condom and then also i licked her cunt.I have been very sad about that because of AIDS.Yesterday i went one medical diagonis centre and then i ckecked HIV 1 & 2 -Rapid and HBsAg-Rabid Test,both result was negative but still my doubt is after six month can possible to develop HIV ? please guide me.

Hi, its quite possible that hiv symptoms may develop after six months. and you tested for rapid tesf which can't detect sntigdn.they ard antibodi based test.and you may br in window period where antibodies ard in developing stage so its not confirm yhat you ate not infected. you should go for confirmatory hiv testing once.you can go with p24 antigen or pcr. that will clear all doubts.
