How Long Does It Take For This Type Of Injury To Heal?

I fell on my back approximately three weeks ago. Initially I went to urgent care because I could not get in to see doctor for eight days. Work related injury. The MRI shows a compression fracture of the L4. I was prescribed a Jewitt brace which I will get in three days. I definately prefer non-surgical approach. Will this approach help me heal or will surgery turn out to be the only alternative? How long does it take for this type of injury to heal?

Hi, In L4 compression fracture treatment depends upon whether fracture is stable or unstable.
If it is stable and no deficits present ,then it is managed conservatively.
If it is unstable and causing compression on cord , then surgery is advised.
Final decision regarding surgery will be decided after seeing the MRI films. Thanks
