How Long Does It Take For Steroids To Lower Pulse Rate?

I was put on steroids on Friday for an ear infection in both ears. My pulse rate went up Saturday night. I went to the clinic yesterday and he told me to stop the steroids. My pulse rate is still high, about 124. How long will it take for it to come down or do I need to be seen again???

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

I would explain that your situation will improve in a couple of days. Anyway, I would recommend taking an antibiotic too, because tachycardia could be related to the infection.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
