How Long Does Does A Damaged Vein Take Time To Heal?

hi i broke my calf bone in a bike accident 1 year ago. the doctor has put a rod inside the callf bone he has also made a 6cm long cut on the inner side of my calf of my right leg. he says tht the cut tht was made by him during operation has damaged a vein is why the area below the cut on the inner part is a numb it has been more than a year now still the numbness has not reduced i want to know when will the vein cure itself so tht the numbness goes ,
