How Long Does Amoxicillin Take To Treat Sinusitis?

I woke up last monday feeling like my nose was broken, thought maybe I had hurt it and didn t remember. Could barely stand to touch it. The pain persisted, so I went to the doctor on that Friday. He diagnosed me with sinusitis, prescribed Amoxicillin. I have been on the medication for three days with very little improvement. When will my nose start to feel better??? This is crazy, never had this problem before. Does sinusitis really do this??

Hello,

The symptoms and signs are consistent with sinusitis. Five to seven days of treatment is recommended in most of the cases. You can also try steam inhalation to open up clogged sinuses. If symptoms persist better to consult an ENT specialist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
