Hi,

Valium contains diazepam that belongs to the group of medications known as benzodiazepines is used in the treatment of anxiety, insomnia, seizures, muscle spasms etc. It is an effective medication for anxiety or sleep if it is taken in the dose and duration as directed by the prescribing doctor. But stop taking this medication abruptly can cause some unpleasant side effects which known as withdrawal syndrome and it may start within 1-4 days after the last dose of Valium. Valium may stay in the system for up to 10 days and its half life ranges from 24-48 hours as well as it can take approximately 10 days for a dose of Valium to leave the system fully.
Valium may be detected in the blood for up to 48 hours, in the urine for up to 6 weeks, in the saliva for up to 9 days, in the hair for up to 90 days after the last dose.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
