How Long Does Ovral L Take To Stop Prolonged Periods?

I have been having prolonged periods, starting 17th Jan. It was normal bleeding for 7-8 days, followed by scanty and brown spotting till 9th Feb, after which the period began to get heavy again. The doctor suggested Ovral L, and after two days it still hasn t stopped. How long does it take for the tablet to take effect on this problem? I m 21 years old and have had irregular cycles before.

Hello,

Ovral L will help to regulate your cycle and also control the bleeding. It will atleast take 5 to 7 days for it to effect.

If you are having profuse bleeding you can start Tab Tranexa for a few days to control it. You can discuss this with your gynaecologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
